Sundays Are Always Quiet - NO PHOTOS
NO PHOTOS continues to subvert expectations with their newest track Sundays Are Always Quiet. Embracing the sound of psychedelic pop and indie r&b, the song’s groove is undeniable and the hook unforgettable. Starting with just groovy keys and bass, the song quickly develops into a hypnotising journey with a catchy chorus and a creative and rewarding pay-off. The singers trade verses, taking us through their angsty meditations on boredom, yearning, and time wasted.

Like with their previous releases, Sundays… is an entirely self-produced venture. Stemming from a simple voice memo and then a jam session, the allure of the song became too strong and the band dropped everything else to finish it and get it out there.
“With the song, I was trying to portray constantly feeling like you're living the same day over and over again and that it just won't end—but at the same time, you've made peace with it cause it's all you've ever really known,” says vocalist Casper Ivy. Zach Okay adds, “When writing my part, I felt like the song demanded this moment of yearning, and with it came this feeling of like, taking flight. The feeling of regret, feeling stuck but ultimately wanting to find an out.”
